2024-2025 school year:

We continue to accept registrations for the 2024-2025 school year!

2025-2026 school year:
  • Secondary school registration for the 2025-2026 school year will commence on October 21, 2024 (details to be provided as of October 21st under the heading ‘Secondary Students’ below).

  • Elementary school registration for the 2025-2026 school year will commence on January 6, 2025 (details will be available as of January 6th).

How to Register

Follow the prompts below to submit a registration form for yourself/your child. You will then be provided instructions via email to book a registration appointment with the school in order to show original required documents.

NOTES

  • Be advised that the Board has implemented an enrolment cap at Pope Francis to minimize enrolment pressures at the school. Details of the enrolment cap are as follows:

    1. Junior Kindergarten enrolment at Pope Francis CES is capped at 101 students annually. Any Junior Kindergarten students, who reside in the Pope Francis CES attendance area and are not able to attend Pope Francis will be accepted at St. Stephen CES, with transportation provided.

    2. Any SK-8 students wishing to attend Pope Francis CES will be accepted on a first come first serve basis at Pope Francis, if space is available within the existing classes. Any SK-8 students who reside in the Pope Francis CES attendance area and are not able to attend Pope Francis will be accepted at St. Stephen CES, with transportation provided.

    The above process remains in place for the 2024/25 school year. Your child’s JK registration will be reviewed by the Pope Francis Administrative team. JK registration will be included in a lottery process.

Secondary Students

On October 21, 2024, parents/guardians of Â鶹ӳ»­ Grade 8 students will receive an email with a link to a ‘Â鶹ӳ»­ - Grade 8 to 9 registration form'.

Click here to register if you are:

  1. New to Â鶹ӳ»­ and are registering for Grade 9 to 12, or

  2. A Â鶹ӳ»­ student currently enrolled in Grade 9 to 12, registering for grade 9 (second semester), 10, 11 or 12 at another Â鶹ӳ»­ secondary school.

Out of Boundary/Region registrations MUST be approved by the school Principal and Superintendent, via From . To request a secondary school other than your child's Local school indicate the preferred school on form , and complete and submit the form to your preferred school via email(email address available on school's website).

Upon submission of form to the school, you will receive instructions for submitting an online registration form for the school, acknowledging that acceptance is subject to approval and not guaranteed. You will be notified regarding whether your request is approved.

Students must apply directly to the French Immersion secondary school.

Students interested in specialty programs* at our Secondary schools are encouraged to visit our school directory and select the program(s) of interest.  Information regarding specialty program applications will be available on our Secondary school websites as of October 21, 2024.  Students MUST visit the school(s) website(s), and/or attend open house events to learn about specialty programs available and to obtain information about the unique specialty program requirements and application process at each school.  Specific requirements of any specialty program must be met in order for you to be accepted into the program. Application processes vary by school and students must follow the steps in each school’s application process to apply to their program. Following submission of an application and fulfillment of the application requirements, you will be notified regarding the outcome of your application.

* Specialty programs include:  International Baccalaureate (IB), Advanced Placement (AP), High Performer Athlete (HPA), French Immersion (FI), Integrated Regional Arts Program (iRAP), Regional Arts Program (RAP), Science Technology Religion Engineering Arts Math (STREAM)

NOTES

  • is a capped school, consequently, a different registration procedure is required. Please visit the school website for information on the criteria and process of admission which is posted at the end of October.

  • is also a capped school, for which registration is contingent on the school enrolment capacity being reached. Please submit an online registration and you will be informed if the capacity limit has been exceeded.
